Welcome to La Vie de Cour (“La Vie de Cour,” “we,” “us”). By using this website (the “Site”) or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who may join

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or buy a membership. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since we sign you in with a link sent there.

2. What La Vie de Cour is

La Vie de Cour is an editorial guide to brands (“houses”), plus a members’ community with ranks, games and royal history. Links take you to each house’s own website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or responsible for those houses, their products, prices, shipping or customer service. Any purchase you make from a house is between you and that house. Prices and availability shown on the Site are approximate and may change.

Some links may earn us a commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. This never changes which houses we choose to feature.

3. Memberships and payment

• Courtier membership is free.
• Paid ranks (Lady-in-Waiting, Countess, Duchess and Princess Royal) are monthly subscriptions at the price shown on the Site when you join. They renew automatically each month and are charged to your payment method until you cancel.
• The Lifetime Patent is a single payment that grants the rank of Duchess for as long as La Vie de Cour operates its membership program.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Cancelling: you can cancel or change your plan at any time using “Manage membership” on the Site. When you cancel, you keep your rank until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
• Refunds: payments are non-refundable, including for partial months, except where the law requires otherwise.
• We may change prices for future billing periods. We will show new prices on the Site at least 30 days before they apply to an existing subscription, and you can cancel before then.
• The twelve Princess Royal seats are available while places remain.

4. Member perks

Ranks unlock features on the Site as described on the Ranks page. We may add, change or retire individual features over time. If we remove a paid rank entirely, we will tell members and stop billing for it.

Countesses, Duchesses and Princesses Royal receive a Boutique savings code (10%, 15% and 20% respectively). Codes are for your own use, may not be shared or resold, and may be changed from time to time. Boutique orders are made to order and fulfilled by our merchandise partner, under its own shipping and returns terms.

5. Your posts and conduct

You keep ownership of what you post (for example Salon Board posts, looks entered in the Ball and your crest choices). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on the Site and in La Vie de Cour’s own features about the court. Please follow court etiquette: be gracious; no links, personal details, selling, promotion, harassment or crude language; nothing illegal or that you don’t have the right to share. We may hold, hide or remove posts, and may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules. We do not refund memberships for accounts removed for breaking them.

6. The Royal Dresser

The Royal Dresser suggests outfits using an artificial intelligence service. Its suggestions are for fun and inspiration, may be inaccurate, and are not professional advice. Paid ranks may consult it several times a day, and Courtiers once a day, up to fair-use limits shown on the Site.

7. Our content

The La Vie de Cour name, crest, monogram, writing and design belong to us. You may share links and your own downloads (such as your Court Portrait and wallpaper) for personal use, but please don’t copy the Site or use our marks commercially. Brand names mentioned on the Site belong to their owners.

8. Disclaimers and limits

The Site is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it accurate and running but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, La Vie de Cour will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

9. Changes and ending

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will post a notice on the Site. You may close your account at any time by cancelling any subscription and writing to us to delete your account.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
